Does the sensor categorize the skin into skin types after measurement?
No. The sensor works to a far greater degree of accuracy by measuring the individual sensitivity of the skin. Theoretically, the sensor can measure an infinite number of skin types to calculate an individual UV dose.

What happens if I take the sensor out of its holder during a tanning session?
Nothing. The sensor is turned off during a tanning session.

Can the sensor detect a sunburn?
Yes and no. The sensor detects redness on the skin and calculates a lower dose. The sensor will recognize the redness, which may or may not be recognizable to the naked eye.

How do I benefit from the Ergoline SUN ANGEL UV system?
Virtually eliminating the possibility of overexposure: The skin's current sensitivity to UV light is measured before each session and the UV power emitted is individually adjusted accordingly.

• Perfect tanning result: Intelligently blending UV-A and UV-B makes better use of the UV rays to give you a perfect-looking tan.
• Separate output levels for the face and body, as UV sensitivity is usually different between the face and body.
• Additional skin analysis using classic features such as eye and hair color is unnecessary.
• The preset 20 minute exposure schedule gives you more time to tan existing pigment and generate new pigment.
• No complex calibration is necessary.
• Fast measurement.

Does this eliminate consultation in a salon?
No. The following points need to be mentioned:

• If you are taking medication or suffer from a skin disorder, please be aware that certain medicines may be photosensitive. That is, they may cause an adverse reaction when the body is exposed to UV light. Always consult your physician if you have any questions or concerns.
• You should not use the SUN ANGEL or sunbathe if you have fair, non-pigmented skin type 1. If you have sensitive skin, freckles, unusual or many moles, you should consult with your physician before tanning.

Can the facial tanner power be increased manually during a tanning session?
No. However, you can reduce the power manually using the facial tanner button or turn off the facial tanners completely. The tanners can be turned on or powered up within the limits of the original power level calculated.

Does the power emitted by the facial tanners sometimes decrease automatically during a tanning session?
Yes. The facial tanners start at the highest level calculated for the face in the first measurement; the power may decrease during the tanning session. The Voice Guide will inform you of any adjustment in power before it happens.

Do individual UV lamps sometimes turn off automatically during a tanning session?
Yes. Depending on the skin measurement, the UV-B or TYPE B low-pressure lamps may be turned off in the face or body area, or dimmed in the face area. This virtually eliminates the possibility of overexposure for your customers.

Do tan stripes form on the body when some of these UV lamps turn off?
No. The lamp geometry and gap between lamps and body have been designed in such a way as to eliminate stripes forming.

Does the SUN ANGEL also have an internal lamp control chip card?
Yes. We have implemented the benefits of performance regulation using dimmable electronic ballasts using two integrated lamp set chip cards for types A and B (adjusting UV output for aging lamps).

How is the low-pressure lamp tanning power controlled?
With electronic ballasts that vary power between 80W and 200W (180W on the S46).

Why is the tanning period preset to 20 minutes in automatic mode?
This is the time that the SUN ANGEL needs to provide an ideal tan.

Can I change the preset 20-minute tanning period in automatic mode?
Yes. You can change the time in preset mode to any time less than 20 minutes. However, the 20-minute exposure schedule is ideal.

Does the SUN ANGEL sometimes automatically turn off before the tanning session is over?
No. The SUN ANGEL knows just how much UV light is necessary for a perfect-looking tan and adjusts the UV dosage accordingly.
